Their mutual love for theatre led to our initial encounter during the first King's Players Meeting of the 2018 Fall Semester at King's College in Wilkes-Barre, PA. It was Teagan's first semester of college and, although she was looking to join clubs and make connections, she was overwhelmed and attempted to make a quick exit before the conversation with Jarrett could progress very far. However, the fates were determined to bring these two souls together as their journey started a mere few weeks later with Teagan needing a ride to Walmart and Jarrett carrying almost all her purchases into the dorm. Photo in the gallery (coming soon) was taken after arrival to Teagan's room.
After their Walmart date, they became almost inseparable when they were not at their respective activities. That Halloween season Jarrett was performing in Rocky Horror Show while Teagan was a part of King's Women Rugby Team. Unfortunately, while playing at an away game, Teagan suffered a major concussion that landed her in the ER later that night; Jarrett was stuck at the theatre due to having a performance that night, but made sure to stay updated with her Mom. He then proceeded to take care of her until she recovered. That summer they enjoyed 3 concerts at Montage Mountain; this was Teagan’s first set of live concerts. The next semester they loved to get late night burgers and shakes from Connorton's, one of King's College's a la carte food options and watch movies. Unfortunately, COVID-19 struck the next semester sending them to their respective parents' houses with travel restrictions. They worked through this with the invention of Netflix party date nights and lots of FaceTime calls. Jarrett graduated that year. The next year King's reopened and Teagan continued her undergraduate career, enjoying time with Jarrett and his family. That spring he moved to Tennessee for work and they became long distance once again for the year, moving back before Teagan graduated from King's.
Teagan is currently at Purdue University in the Chemistry Department's Ph.D. program with her dog, Copper. During this time, Jarrett was working in PA, but is looking to soon join her in Indiana. They got engaged on October 6, 2022 when Jarrett visited Teagan in Indiana during her fall break. The following June, Jarrett and Teagan moved in together. Now, Jarrett works as a police officer at Purdue University while Teagan has became a Ph.D. candidate in her program. They cannot wait to see where this journey takes them and continue to navigate life together.
