We grew up just ten minutes apart and even played t-ball against each other when we were kids. It’s funny how many times our paths crossed through mutual friends and local spots, but it wasn’t until November 2020 that we connected in person. We quickly became inseparable after we met. Our journey led us to Fort Myers for college, where moving in together felt like the perfect next step. We adopted a sweet cat, and suddenly our little family was complete. Along the way, we also met some amazing lifelong friends who have become like family to us. Graduating was a big milestone, but what we treasure most is the life we’ve built together. We’ve explored our new town, discovered our favorite places, and created lifelong memories.
I knew from the months and months of asking that Teagan wanted me to propose to her. I had the ring for a couple months at this point and figured that it was time to pop the question. We had a wonderful weekend getaway in Sarasota, filled with all our favorite things. We started the day off with Starbucks, then spent time exploring the city together. We visited the Mote aquarium and enjoyed our meal at St. Armands Circle. And lastly, ending the night watching the sunset on the beach. At this point I knew that I wanted to ask but the time was never right. There was a lot going on at the same time so I had to find the perfect opportunity.
