Question

Do I need a passport or visa?

Answer

YES, you will need your passport for this trip! Those flying from Canada do not require a visa. If you are travelling from the UK, you do not need a visa but you will be required to fill out an Electronic Travel Authorization document to enter the EU. This will cost around around £10, and make sure you complete it at least a week before you travel. Make sure all your documents are updated - don't wait until the last minute!!

Question

Which city do we fly into?

Answer

You will be flying into (LIS) - Lisbon, Portugal for our wedding.

Question

Where is the wedding venue?

Answer

The wedding venue is called Quinta da Bichinha located an hour outside of the Lisbon area. Quinta Da Bichinha is a centuries-old wine estate rehabilitated as a wedding venue and located outside of Lisbon, Portugal. The ancient cellars of the Quinta are a cozy and unique space, encircled by opulent gardens and extensive vineyards. Outside, guests can relax in the open gardens and breathtaking vineyards. Wedding Venue: Quinta Da Bichinha Address: Estr. de Vila Chã, 2580-413, Portugal Tel: +351 962 057 836 Website: https://www.quintadabichinha.pt/en/

Question

Is there accommodation at the venue?

Answer

We are initially reserving rooms for immediate family, but there will be additional rooms available upon request (first-come-first-serve). Accommodation is priced between €105-€165 per night. If you wish to book this, please notify us in your RSVP. There is also lot's of excellent accommodation in the surrounding area, which we will be listed under the "Travel" tab.

Question

Can guests stay at the venue before and after the 2 days specified in the invite?

Answer

Unfortunately not, we will have the venue all to ourselves for the 2 nights (March 6th & 7th), after that we have to move out! There will be other weddings before and after us that week, so there is no option to extend your stay at the venue.

Question

How many days do I need to reserve for the wedding?

Answer

Please plan to be in Lisbon on Friday March 6th to ensure you will make it time for all the wedding festivities. We will be hosting a Welcome BBQ at the venue which is optional on the Friday. Saturday is the wedding day and the ceremony will begin in the afternoon, with festivities going late into the night! Please refer to the "Schedule" tab for a full breakdown. Additional details to follow!

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We ask that our guests be Cocktail attire. Look fresh, and ready to celebrate! Also, keep in mind this is an outdoor wedding with lots of grass and gravel. Feel free to bring an extra pair of shoes to change into if needed.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unless specified there will be no plus ones! The invitations will outline the names of who are invited.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

The only children attending are those who are part of the wedding party.

Question

What is the weather like?

Answer

Plan on it being warm. The weather in March is on average between 19-11 degrees Celsius. Since so much of the country is on the coast, it does get a nice breeze at night so bring a sweater, shall, or jacket!

Question

WHEN SHOULD WE RSVP BY?

Answer

Please RSVP by December 3rd, 2025 latest so we can begin confirming the accommodation, shuttle bus and catering. We are very grateful for those who can attend but we also understand that a destination wedding is a big undertaking for guests and we totally understand if you can't make it.
