Connor and I met at a place called Facebook Dating, with a little help from my best friend Amelia pushing me to swipe right. Connor came in with a cheesy pickup line about my baby blue eyes and somehow, that’s where it all began. From the start, we just clicked. We quickly went from strangers to inseparable, never going a day without talking or seeing each other. I was actually the first one to say “I love you”completely by accident while saying goodbye. I panicked covered my mouth, turned red, and immediately kicked him out of my car I then told my best friend he’d never speak to me again. Of course, it became our inside joke from that moment on. I always told myself I wouldn’t do this again, but Connor changed that without even trying. He was gentle, patient, and kind with me while I was still healing. He showed me that love can feel safe, steady, and like a fairytale. He made me happy again and I knew he was my forever. Connor didn’t just love me, he stepped into our family with open arms. He’s shown up with patience, love, and consistency, helping heal wounds he didn’t create and loving my kids as his own. Now, we’re building a life rooted in love, laughter, and choosing each other every day.
