FAQs

If you have additional questions that are not addressed here, don't hesitate to get in touch with Abigail directly.
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is black-tie optional. Tuxedos and dark suits in navy, charcoal, or black are welcome. Gowns should be formal, and ankle-length or floor-length. If you want to wear heels, a kitten heel and/or block heel is encouraged for comfort, as the outdoor ceremony will be held on an uneven surface (stone patio). Flats are also welcome. If you have questions or concerns about the dress code, please get in touch with the bride.

Question

What colors can I wear? What should I avoid?

Answer

We would love to see you in muted autumnal tones or other colors naturally occurring in the Pacific Northwest! Pattern and texture are also welcome. Ultimately, we want you to feel comfortable and stunning in your chosen attire. Please refrain from wearing white or white-adjacent tones. If you're unsure whether your desired attire qualifies as white, please consult the bride. If the bride requests you not to wear attire deemed white, and you arrive in the attire anyway, you will be asked to change or leave kindly.

Question

Where can I stay?

Answer

A room block is reserved at Timberline Lodge until July 24th, 2025. You can also book nearby hotels in Government Camp or Portland. Airbnb and VRBO are also available in the area.

Question

Is there onsite parking at the Lodge?

Answer

Yes! From the Timberline Lodge website: "There are three parking lots at Timberline Lodge. Up by the main lodge, the lot is reserved for hotel guests. The two lower lots (Main Lot and Salmon River Lot) are for day visitors and employees. During the busy winter season on weekends, our parking lots fill up quickly with ski area guests. We recommend carpooling and arriving early or taking advantage of the Timberline Resort Shuttle."

Question

Do I have to drive up the mountain?

Answer

For alternative transportation up and down the mountain, you can visit https://www.timberlinelodge.com/getting-here for options.

Question

Is child care available?

Answer

Please get in touch with the bride if you want or need childcare in order to attend the ceremony and dinner. The bride is willing to split the cost of childcare equally with anyone who utilizes it.
