Tyler and I met in Spanish class during the Fall semester of my Junior and Tyler's Senior year of high school but rarely spoke to each other. When we did speak, it was usually Tyler asking me for a stick of gum despite knowing I had braces. It wasn't until the Spring semester of that same school year that I walked into sixth period Ceramics class and sat at a table where a friend was (shout out to Vanessa) and there Tyler was. After a few months of getting to know each other, we became boyfriend and girlfriend on April 1, 2015. At lot of memories had been made in the 5 year and 8 months leading up to our engagement including graduations, vacations, new jobs, and buying a house. I actually thought he would propose while on vacation in Myrtle Beach in September of 2020. Then I thought he would do it on my Birthday a couple of months later. I realized I just needed to be patient and let things be. November 20th, 2020 was just like any other Friday, for the most part. I typically go to Tyler's house on Friday nights to see each other, but wasn't feeling well on that particular day and hadn't planned on going. After some convincing, I went over there. We took our dog Milo on a walk. When we got back to the house, Tyler told me to look at Milo's new dog tag (his old one recently broke off) and it said "Will you marry dad?" After that I pretty much blacked out because I couldn't believe it but I do know it was perfect. We facetimed our families and then ordered pizza hut (as we are sophisticated). We can't wait to start life together on October 30th, 2021.
