Erica: We kinda sorta maybe met on Tinder.. I had never done online dating and thought I would give it a whirl. Turns out it's awful. I don't recommend it. The weird thing is, I was getting ready to delete the app when Taylor reached out..AND to top it off, both of us were not into each other when we first showed up at the bowling alley. I looked different than my profile pic (oops), and he wore tennis shoes with jeans (ew).. That first impression wore off in less than 5 minutes and ended up being the best first date I had ever had. He was funny, easy going, and easy on the eyes. I was instantly smitten. We ended up closing down the bowling alley and sat outside laughing and talking until 3am. We honestly didn't know how to do long distance right away (he was in Minneapolis at the time) and we both opted to stay friends and I think we both assumed that was the end of it..but we kept calling and texting each other. Every day. Before I knew it, we were on our second date a month later, with a good friendship as a base and it was even better than the first date. I like him...like a lot. And I still can't believe that I get to marry him. And all thanks to Tinder. Taylor: WE HAVE TINDER SUCCESS STORY, HERE, FOLKS! .... In all honesty though, our first date was filled with amazing chemistry, Parks and Rec. references, bowling between the legs, and conversation that left us both awe struck 'till the evening. I knew Erica was the one for me when we both realized we have similar values, life goals, compatibility potential, and the desire to be selfless to another. It also helps that Erica is the most beautiful girl in the whole world AND I get to practice my sweet kung foo warding off other suitors.
Taylor: I took this pretty young thang out into the woods where I could properly communicate my love to her with no distractions. We had a fire, a sunset, shade, nice views of the hills and stars, good company, and a proposal. It was good. I plan on having our marriage embody this; when life gets busy we just take a drive and focus on what's important. Erica: We went camping. Very last minute may I add. And we drove a good hour and half into what felt like the wilderness. We set up a camp and while I prepped dinner, he set up my phone to take a video, told me he was taking pictures and that there was a 30 second countdown (I can't believe I didn't catch that). He got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. I ugly cried after the video ended. And then he cooked an amazing steak dinner in one pan on a fire that he had started using only a lighter. That's going to be my HUSBAND y'all :D
