Lauren Taylor and Michael Scanlon’s story began in December of 2018 at a Christmas party—one of those nights that didn’t feel like anything extraordinary at the time, but would quietly change everything. It was a “Friendsmas” gathering, full of laughter, holiday spirit, and a little bit of chaos. Lauren made her unforgettable debut in a penguin suit (a decision lovingly encouraged by her friend Rielley), whereas Mike (and everyone else) was dressed to the nines. For some crazy reason, Mike took one look at Lauren in that black and white onesie and said, "yep, that's the one". From that night on, the two were inseparable. What started as something light and fun quickly grew into something steady, deep, and enduring. Over the years, their relationship has been shaped not just by the good times, but by real life—by change, growth, and commitment to one another. In May of 2020, they welcomed their daughter Nora Marie, bringing a new and beautiful chapter into their lives. Then in November of 2023, their family grew again with the arrival of Harvey, filling their home with even more love, laughter, and purpose. Mike also stepped into the role of stepfather to Aeva with incredible strength, compassion, and grace. Through one of the most difficult seasons—the devastating loss of Aeva’s father, Ryan—Mike stood firmly by his family, offering support, stability, and love when it was needed most. In every sense of the word, he has shown what it means to lead with a servant’s heart. Together, Lauren and Mike have walked through multiple seasons of life—career changes, personal growth, challenges, and triumphs. It hasn’t always been easy, but it has always been worth it. Through every high and low, they’ve built something rooted in faith, choosing to center their relationship and their family around God. That foundation has carried them, strengthened them, and reminded them of what truly matters. Because when the storms come—and they do—the house doesn’t fall when the bones are good. Now, after years of building a life together, they stand ready to say “I do”—not as the beginning of their story, but as a continuation of a love that has already been tested, refined, and made strong. Surrounded by their children, their family, and their faith, Lauren and Mike are choosing each other—again and always.
