One of our favorite days in Italy. We were on a Parmesan/balsamic vinegar/prosciutto tour of Modena. It was like the mothership had called us home.

We walked the Portico di San Luca in Bologna through 666 of the city’s famed arches. The 2.5 mile walk was allllll uphill, but the views from Santuario di Madonna di San Luca made the climb worth it

Our Bologna tour guide told us that holding your middle finger and thumb up was an Italian gesture meaning “more wine.” However, after asking around, we realized that Alessandro was trolling Americans

We stayed at an agriturismo—a working farm that usually offers food and lodging—while in Pontassieve, Tuscany. A few days of relaxation were just what we needed at that point
