Ahh... Dating online as an adult is weird. You figure that everyone online has a ton wrong with them or some big secret. After many conversations with various suiters, we both happen to swipe right on each other. I thought he was a good singer, loved the Lord, and had kind eyes. He thought I was some( bozo I'm sure ). We both were looking for someone who didn't just answer questions like "what's your favorite color... do you like long walks on the beach"... etc. We began to talk on May 28th, 2023 and by May 31st we had our first date at a sushi place no doubt. I of course took precaution and shared my location with my friends and told them to avenge my death if he was a serial killer. He, having worked in Atlanta for so long, thought he could fight me if it came down to it. I pulled up to the restaurant and he hopped out of a white truck with shades on. I thought to myself "uh oh... I'm in trouble. He's cute." We talked for hours that day. We went and walked around Alexander park and even made future plans for a family. By June 3rd, he had asked me to be his girlfriend. Just to go on record.... HE SAID I LOVE YOU FIRST.. A few months passed, and it was time to meet his daughters. We wanted it to be as easy as possible and so we decided to all go to a water park where I could teach his girls how to swim. Andi and Evy took one look at me and couldn't figure out anything about me, but once they began to play, everyone loosened up. "Kids are like my thing right? What kid doesn't like me", I thought. The girls enjoyed an afternoon of getting to know "Tater tot" and we began to develop a friendship. Every weekend from then on, the two squirts, Josh, and myself went on adventures. We went to the beach, mountains, weddings, hiking, Dave n' Busters (Andi's favorite), the movies, and we played dress up, tea parties, Mario and Princess Peach, and various other things. Every weekend felt like a little mini vacation from responsibilities and outer influences. We didn't have it all easy though; there were some people who desired to try to break up the little safe haven family that we had created. I became the family pet, "THE TOT". I loved spending my weekends being a confidant, a friend, an advocate, a karate practicer, a math tutor, a conscience, and a person that they could always rely on. Josh and I grew closer and had tough conversations. We encourage each other to do better daily. We work together to build the life we want and try to have each other's back in every situation. We are excited for what the future holds. Thank you for being a part of our story. 1 Corinthians 16:14. "Let all that you do be done in love."
