Common Questions & Concerns

Question

Our Statement of Inclusion

Answer

Equity and Inclusion. They are more than just words for us. They are the hard-and-fast principles that guide our lives together. As we bring our loved ones from near and far to celebrate our union, we will create a beautiful group of people from various races, cultures, languages, family structures, physical and mental abilities, socio-economic classes, generations, religions and overall amazing ways of approaching life. Our wedding will be one full of celebration, love and respect. We want everyone to dance and sing like no one is watching and celebrate like it's 1999! We are so excited to spend time with you!

Question

Do I need a passport & visa to enter Mexico?

Answer

If you are a US citizen, you will need a valid passport but no visa.

Question

Pesos & Dollars

Answer

There a few ways you can exchange dollars into Mexican currency which is the peso. The best way we have found is to exchange some money at your local bank or AAA (if you have a membership) so that you arrive in Mexico with some local currency. We do not recommend exchanging at the airport as the rate tends to be much lower. There will be currency exchange places in the city and you can of course withdraw money from an ATM though please check with your bank to confirm international fees.

Question

Is Mexico City safe?

Answer

We know there has been negative messaging about this beautiful and culturally rich country. Mexico City is one of the largest cities in the world with amazing food, history and culture. Like any large city you should be aware of your surroundings, keep your belongings close, stay in groups and don't be out too late. If you have any specific questions, please email us at taylormade8286@gmail.com

Question

How close is Mexico City to the beach?

Answer

Mexico City is AMAZING on many fronts. That said it is not a tropical getaway in terms of beaches. The closest beaches are Veracruz, Oaxaca and of course Playa del Carmen, Cancun and Cozumel on Atlantic side.. PLEASE NOTE: Acapulco is not safe at this moment and we discourage you from going though it is the closest beach town by car. Every other beach town/city listed above can be reached by airplane.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

*Please stay tuned. For now we recommend only using Uber as the way to get to and from the wedding venue.

Question

I have a very specific question, how should I contact you?

Answer

We want to make sure you feel confident and ready to travel to Mexico City! Please email us with any and all questions at taylormade8286@gmail.com.
