Taylor and Lauren met the fall semester of her freshman year at the University of Vermont. Ironically, Lauren was trying to Skype her parents that evening to let them know she wanted to transfer and UVM wasn’t for her. Her friend told her she could transfer the next day, but that night they were going to a party. On the other side of campus Taylor was hanging out in the dorms when he ran into a friend in the hallways who asked if he wanted to tag along to a party. While Lauren and Taylor are no longer in touch with either of those friends, they’ll be forever grateful for bringing them along that night. After the party, it was a cold, snowy evening and Taylor offered Lauren his jacket and walked her home. Little did they know, that night was the beginning of their forever.

Taylor planned a spontaneous trip up to Vermont under the pretense he and Lauren need to get one more ski day in before the season was over. After an amazing day on the slopes with gorgeous conditions they stopped to enjoy a few of their favorites, Poutine and Switchback beer. The two were going out to dinner that evening but when Taylor said they needed to be ready to walk out the door around 5pm for an 8pm reservation Lauren got suspicious. She knew the moment Taylor drove to their most special spot in Vermont, an outlook that overlooks the Adirondack Mountains and Lake Champlain, she was going to remember this night for the rest of her life! With the sun setting, Taylor got on one knee and asked Lauren to marry him…it was the same spot he had asked her to be his girlfriend 5 years earlier. It was perfect.
