Taylor and Jesson both accepted their first teaching jobs at the same district. Jesson was hired as a high school social studies teacher and Taylor was brought on to teach middle-school physical education. Every new teacher in this district was required to attend new teacher training for a week over the summer prior to the school year. During new teacher training, they realized they and two other teachers lived in close proximity to one another and decided to carpool for the 45 minute commute when school started. What started off as a four-person carpool, soon turned into a two-person carpool. Carpool dates became lunch dates at school and then turned into dates at a local sports bar - Jeremiah's. On November 11th, Jesson and Taylor finally had the day off for Veterans Day. As new teachers, they were excited for this day to catch up on work. Instead, Jesson and Taylor spent the day at Jeremiah's-Jesson's favorite and that night played a board game with friends-Taylor's favorite. Later that night Jesson asked Taylor to be his girlfriend and the rest is history.

We just bought a house and we were in a rush to get moved and settled in before the first day of school. We got the keys to our new house on 8/31/21. We took the next few days to move into our new house. We had to clean our old apartment before handing the keys over. Taylor had to be at work on 9/2/21 and she left Jesson with the daunting job of cleaning our old apartment. While Taylor was at work, her sister Ashley who lives two hours away texted Taylor and said she was going to be in town for a funeral and asked to come see the new house. Taylors dad had also not seen the new house yet so the family was going to stop and see the house and Ashley her husband and two children while they were here. Little did Taylor know that Jesson had planned this with Taylor's family. When Taylor got out of work she immediately went to see how well Jesson cleaned the apartment. It of course was not up to Taylor's standard so Taylor and Jesson were scrubbing the apartment floors before Taylors family came. Taylor and Jesson rushed back to their house minutes before Taylors family got there. While we were giving the family the tour of the new house Jesson suggested taking a picture in front of the house because we hadn't gotten one yet. This is when Taylor caught onto what was going on. Taylor saw the ring box in Jesson's pocket who was trying to hide it with his water bottle. Taylor ran back inside and changed her clothes because she knew Jesson was about to get on one knee. She was right! Minutes later Jesson proposed to Taylor on their front porch in front of Taylor's family. Taylor cried and first admitted she was so mean to Jesson and then said 'yes'!
