Ashley M. Taylor

Ashley is a 2014 graduate of the University of South Carolina and is currently pursuing a double Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health/School Counseling at Lenoir-Rhyne University. Her friends have always regarded her as the "auntie" of the group, for her old soul and sage wisdom. She is also the "hostess with the mostest" and is always hosting dinner and brunch at her house complete with custom cocktails and plenty of food.

Jamar Lampkin

Jamar graduated from the University of South Carolina in December 2009 and currently works for Verizon. A native of the Lowcountry area and a former college athlete, Jamar or "Lamp" as is friends call him, is a sports enthusiast and can always be found talking football and basketball with his friends. He is also a movie fanatic and enjoys going to the theater and seeing new releases. His friends and family regard him as dependable and enjoy going to him for advice.

Tisha Green

Maid of Honor

“20 plus years in the game…and we’re still in this thing.” From pleading with her mother to let her stay at my house a little longer on Sundays after church, so we could play…to swinging on the tire swing at grandma’s…racing go-karts in the backyard…riding in the back of my dad’s truck to go buy honey-buns from the neighborhood store…to standing next to her as she recites her vows to the love of her life. To Ashley: You are my sister, my best friend, and I’m happy to have experienced this journey called life with you for all of these years. I cannot wait to assist you down the aisle. To Jamar: Thank you for always keeping her smiling. Don’t ever stop. Cheers to the Bride and Groom. *Cues wine glass clink*"

Samantha Sanders

Maid of Honor

"Cousins by blood, sisters at heart, friends by choice. Cousins are your first best friends. Friends may be forever, but cousins are for life. We have all heard these cliche quotes to describe the unique and unbreakable bond between cousins. However, I can’t find the words to begin to describe the love and phenomenal relationship between Ashley and I. I don’t have a memorable or entertaining story of our first encounter, but we are family, so she has always just been around. As time passed, seasons changed and life happened, our bond remained constant. As an adult, I now more than ever cherish our relationship. Today I stand elated to play such a role in such an important moment in her life. As Taylor goes Lampkin, she will forever be #TeamGreen."

Brittany Haynes

Bridesmaid

"Ashley and I have been friends since childhood. My fondest memories of our friendship are the simple and ordinary conversations that we’ve had throughout the years; times when shared our hopes, fears, triumphs, and sought to cope with our heartbreaks. We’ve actually been friends for so long that I can’t remember the exact moment we connected or pinpoint the instance our friendship was solidified. What I do know is that she always been there; through sadness, joy and laughter. Therefore, I am overjoyed and honored to stand along side her as she marries the man of her dreams, a man who will have the privilege to call a beautiful, strong, vivacious and compassionate woman his wife."

Jillian Frederick

Bridesmaid

"A little over a decade ago, Ashley and I became instant friends. We started our friendship with the Summerville Alumnae’s Chapter of Delta G.E.M.S. Though we went to different high schools we managed to keep in touch outside of our monthly meetings. Throughout our undergraduate years, I spent many weekends visiting Ashley in Columbia for the famous events she would host. Over the years I have gotten to know Ashley’s family and they have always been just and loving and open as she has. Anytime I need a listening ear or a shoulder or to vent about a 2a.m. crisis, Ashley has always been there. Ashley will always be the Bets Crocker to my Carrot Cake. I love Ashley like a sister and I’m so thankful to be able to share in this day with you and Jamar. "

Shamekia Crawford

Bridesmaid

"I have known Ashley for 9 years now. We met as roommates our freshman year in college at USC Upstate, and ever since then, I have considered her my sister. Our friendship has always been one that I have treasured dearly and I am so blessed to have such an amazing person in my life. We have both grown so much since then but one thing is for sure and that is we will always be sisters no matter where life takes us."

Breanna Sharper

Bridesmaid

"I met Bre during the last semester of my senior year of high school. We both shared a mutual friend and when we realized we had so much in common, we decided to become roomies during our Freshman year at Upstate. Over the past 9 years, we have shared laughs, secrets, shed tears and created memories as we have grown up. I am so extremely happy to have a friend in "Beanie" and I am so excited that she will be with me during this experience" ~Ashley

Kayla Haynes

Bridesmaid

"I met Ashley our freshman year at USC Upstate in Spanish class and we have been laughing ever since! She is one of my best friends and we have been through so much over the years and throughout college, from Upstate to USC, being roomies, witnessing your engagement and now being part of one of the biggest moments in her life. Sometimes life, time and distance gets in the way of friendships but ours has never wavered. When we get together it’s just like before in college: lots of laughs, great conversation and memories. I couldn’t be happier to be in your wedding and witness you marrying your best friend. I love you so much and I wish you and Jamar so much love, happiness and prosperity! I love you forever, your soul mate"

Heather Singleton

Bridesmaid

"Ashley and I met each other through a group of mutual friends in 2012. We developed our own friendship soon after meeting each other. However, our friendship evolved into true sisterhood over the years. Ashley is one of the few people who I can go to after both of us have dealt with our hectic lives, and we can pick up as though no time was ever lost. There are some people in life who are there solely for a season, and there are some who will create bonds that will last a lifetime. The latter is something that holds true for my sister, Ashley Taylor."

Haley Geosits

Bridesmaid

"I met Haley randomly at a BBQ my sophomore year at USC. I had just transferred from Upstate and was still nervous about meeting new people. However, after 5 minutes of talking, we became instant friends. Of all of the friends I have made in college, Haley is especially important to me because we shared so many similar circumstances. From nursing broken hearts, through losing loved ones, and in celebrating accomplishments in our careers, we have always been each other's cheerleaders and I am so honored that she is not just a friend, but a true sister" ~ Ashley

Marketa Bennett

Bridesmaid

"A friend who knows your tears is much more valuable than a lot of friends who only know your smile" That's a true testimony! Who would have ever thought a late night pilgrimage to Waffle House in 2011 would turn into gaining such a good friend! Through pregnancy and delivery, weekly therapy sessions, Bible study, God-mommy duties, and life's continuous journeys, Ashley has been such a sweet slice of apple pie! I'm truly honored to witness her dreams turning into reality and bear witness to blessings that will come from this union!"

Jarad McCray

Best Man

Jamar and Jarad have been friends since 2001, where they met in the halls of Timberland High School. They bonded over sports, music, and a love for being complete idiots. Jarad has always been a confidant of Jamar’s and someone that he has grown to trust and rely upon for relationship and financial advice. He has also developed a friendship with the Bride.

Carnegie Wise

Best Man

Carnegie is the orchestrator of this union. While being great friends to both Bride and Groom, he and Jamar began their friendship on the campus of USC during their first year. They became cool thanks to intramural football and has evolved into being members of “Da Zoo.” Negie, as both call him, offers them both advice and is owed a great deal of thanks to an unlikely introduction in 2011.

Tracey Morant

Groomsman

Tracey is Jamar’s big brother. He has been an integral part in Jamar’s life and his actions. 9 times out of 10 if Jamar is on the dance floor, Tracey will be right behind him. He’s kept Jamar’s head straight and always has his brother’s back. He is definitely “his brother’s keeper”.

Travis Norton

Groomsman

Travis and Jamar are close cousins. They grew up around each other and even ended up at college together. Travis, being the older, is the more responsible of the 2 and tries to keep Jamar in check. He is another person who Jamar seeks for council. He is one of the few people that the Bride trusts Jamar with 👍🏿

Jamarial Brown

Groomsman

Jamarial and Jamar grew up together in Alvin, SC, where they played sports and went to school together, even playing the same positions in football. He has always been like a brother to Jamar, giving him life advice and keeping his head on right. He is also another member of “Da Zoo” and one of the many voices on the “Talking Animals Podcast.”

Derrell Brown

Groomsman

Derrell and Jamar have been friends going back to the summer lunch program in Alvin. He, along with Jamarial and Travis, grew up with Jamar. Derrell, though a little wild, has always been someone in Jamar’s corner and making sure he is good. He and Jamar, despite their stupid arguments, continue to provide help and advice to each other.

Khalif Chavis

Groomsman

Who would’ve thought a friendship would come from a crazy person running around football camp?! But that is what Jamar and Khalif’s friendship is. Both were incoming freshman football players at Newberry College and have stuck with each other since. Khalif, although wild and brash at times, has always been someone that Jamar has needed in his corner.

Justin Wright

Groomsman

Jamar and Justin have been friends since elementary school. Nicknamed, Dubb, Justin has been someone beside Jamar’s side for years, providing laughs and advice. As Jamar’s oldest friend, he knows Jamar almost better than anyone outside of Jarad. Whether it was rec league basketball to college football, these 2 were always close and competitive.

Sean Lampkin

Groomsman

Sean and Jamar are close cousins from his dad’s side. Someone who used to be Jamar’s little cousin, is now the big cousin. He and Jamar have always competed with each other, whether it was a talent show at the family reunion or stats on the football field. Sean has and will continue pushing Jamar to be a better man and Jamar appreciates him for always having his back.

Jervarr Oree

Groomsman

Jevarr is one of Jamar’s newest friends. A confidant of the Bride, he and Jamar developed a friendship through sharing similarities. Jevarr is another person who provides Jamar with great advice and camaraderie. He always has Jamar’s back and remains in Ashley’s corner. They both love and appreciate what he brings to the table.
