For guests flying in, the two best airport options are Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
LAX will have more flight options and may be more affordable, especially if you are hoping for a direct flight. SBA is much smaller and more convenient, but you will likely need a layover.
If you fly into LAX, Santa Barbara is about a 1.5 to 2 hour drive away. The Santa Barbara Airbus is an easy bus service from LAX to several drop-off locations in Santa Barbara. They typically run 8 trips a day, about every 2 hours, and the full schedule and pricing are available on their website (https://www.sbairbus.com/).
You can also rent a car and drive up from Los Angeles if you want more flexibility. For a scenic route, take the Pacific Coast Highway through Malibu.
