First Met: David and Brandi grew up directly across the river from each other. With much interaction from friends on both sides of the river, David and Brandi knew of each other since middle school. Friends in passing they never truly got to know one another until much much later. First Date: David finally mustered up the courage to ask Brandi on a date to his favorite restaurant, which has now become one of their go-tos, Fireside Grille in Teays Valley. After much conversation and laughs, the finished the night off by dancing with a group of Brandi’s friends at a local hang-out spot. Engagement: David put much thought into how he wanted to ask Brandi to marry him. He researched diamonds and learned everything possible about selecting the correct one and then designed a ring that he knew she would love. He talked with one of her best friends, Annie, about different plans before finally selecting the perfect one. David and Brandi had travelled to Charlotte, NC to visit their friends, Annie, Nathan, and their son Alaric. Sunday morning, they told Brandi that they were all going to the new playground built at Lake Norman park. After walking around and Annie’s insistence of taking pictures of David and Brandi, she became confused as to why she kept taking pictures when she looked over David was on one knee with ring in hand.
