We are getting hitched!

Josh and Taylor met at, lo and behold, the local crossfit gym in Jax Beach in 2015. Within the next year, they became really close and decided that they wanted to take it to the next level, and try out this dating thing. One thing led to another, and Josh was asking Taylor to move in. Taylor was hesitant for this next big step, but she decided to go with her gut and make the big move. More exciting changes came later that year, adding another fur baby and giving Jax his brother, Levi. They were living very happily as a little family.

One week in December of 2020, Josh mentioned to Taylor that he wanted to have date night at Caps on the Water and take the Camaro down to St. Augustine. Of course, Taylor said yes, since, you know, Covid happening, there weren’t many date nights lately. Taylor worked the Friday night before, but Josh was very adamant about not sleeping in, and getting up and getting pretty before 2:00 so that they could take their time and cruise down A1A to St. Augustine. As they were driving down, Josh mentioned that he wanted to see the dredging that they were doing in Vilano (time waster). They got down to the beach, it was windy, cold, and Taylor was hungry. On the way to Caps, Josh said that he needed to get gas. As they pull up, in Josh's classic ‘67 Camaro, Taylor noticed an older guy checking out his car. She was thinking, here we go, they are going to be talking for 30 minutes and I was hungry. She was wrong, it was only 10 minutes, not 30 minutes. Finally, the guy left, but Josh suggested that she freshen up in the gas station bathroom, it's nice, he says (another time waster). As they approached Caps, Josh pulled all the way to the end of the road and says this is a really awesome place to take a picture of my car, (nothing out of the ordinary!). They got out and started taking pictures of the car, when Josh mentioned that they should walk on the beach. It was a sight to see, the trees were hanging over the beach, the sun was setting, beautiful. As they walked back to the car, Taylor noticed a guy hiding behind a bush. Her first instinct was that they were trespassing and they were going to be in quite some trouble (Josh didn't say anything). As they kept walking towards the car, Taylor noticed that the guy is their friend, Nick, with a camera in his hand. She turned around and Josh was on one knee. She said yes at the most perfect place, with the most perfect sunset, to the most perfect man. December 19, 2020.
