Zach and I met on a trip to Gettysburg when I (Taylor) was a senior in high school and he was a junior. Never in a million years did we think that sitting next to each other in the Abraham Lincoln house would end up in a lifelong marriage filled with laughter and happiness. I am so fortunate that our paths crossed and I get to spend the rest of my life with by best friend. After a few short months together in Rochester, I moved away to Westminster College in PA. Zach was there for me every single step of the way, even if it meant weekends in a 10 by 10 dorm room and trading his mom's cooking for dining hall food. I honestly believe that the distance helped our relationship grow so much stronger. After another decision to stay in PA for graduate school, we determined we were ready to take that next step together. Zach and I then moved into our first apartment in Greentree, Pittsburgh. Zach quickly found an internship and then a job. We met and formed bonds with some of the greatest friends we could ask for. Zach and I then moved to Lawrenceville in Pittsburgh to continue our journey together. We found more activities that we enjoy doing together such as hiking, biking, eating (and drinking!), and traveling, all of which help our relationship continue to grow. Zach proposed to me in April, 2018 at the end of the Boston marathon. I was truely blindsided and it made 26.2 miles of hail, sleet, rain and freezing temperatures all worth it. We are now happily enjoying our engagement and consistently planning our future together. Zach has always given 110% of his effort to make me happy, and I am so grateful for his persistence and determination. Even if he may not always put his dishes in the dishwasher, I wouldn't trade him for the world. We cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together and start our own family. We are so fortunate to be surrounded by such loving family and friends and cannot wait to spend this special day with everybody!
