We were lucky enough to meet each other in high school. Things didn't come together as easy as Tyler had hoped though. I was very independent and had no interest in a relationship. We would talk on and off and then he eventually decided to stick with me. He was very patient and tried for 6 months to date me. Finally, after seeing him commit and try so hard, I decided to give him a chance. Since then, we have been inseparable. Relationships are challenging, but we have become each other's worlds and can't imagine a life without one another. We are so excited to finally get married after 10 years together and looking forward to celebrating with you!
If you don't know, Tyler and I love visiting New York City. On December 8th of 2019, we went to the city with his sister to see the Rockefeller Christmas Tree. I hadn't suspected anything until he wanted to go to a specific location in Central Park. We probably walked a good 30 minutes in the cold to get there. At 1 in the morning, we arrived to the Bow Bridge which is an iconic bridge shown in movies. The lighting was dim, the city noise was gone, and we could see the stars. It was so peaceful. As we were about to leave, he bent down and pretended to tie his shoe. I knew it was officially happening after that. I walked over, he pulled out the ring, and simply asked "will you marry me?" Even though it wasn't a total surprise, it was a beautiful moment that I will cherish forever.
