Tatiana grew up in Southern California. Taylor grew up in Wisconsin, until her junior year of high school when she moved to Southern California. However, despite almost moving to the same high school, the two would not meet until a few years later. Both girls were in color guard throughout high school and Taylor even remembers watching one of Tatiana’s senior year winter guard performances. Fast forward two years and they finally met while both working as counselors at Camp Silverbrook. The two started out as friends, and spent lots of time together that first summer. Then in the following months after summer, they traveled between California, Massachusetts, and Wisconsin to see each other. After about a year of being friends, the two could no longer deny their feelings and began dating in May 2016. In between Tatiana working at Camp Silverbrook and Taylor conducting research at UW Whitewater, they spent almost every weekend together. Each time they would find something new to do from relaxing at the beach to going to their first Panic! concert. They spent that summer falling in love and the rest is history!

After two amazing years together, Taylor and Tatiana both knew that their love was meant to last a lifetime. So they both devised a plan to ask the other to spend the rest of their lives together. Tatiana was the first to ask. She planned an amazing day for the two, which included a trip to the local winery, dinner and a visit to the IU telescope and a view of Jupiter. The plan was to ask Taylor while they were looking at the stars. However, her nerves got the best of her and she asked Taylor to marry her a few hours later once they had returned home. A few days later, it was Taylor’s turn. Tatiana and Taylor were going to attend a Panic! at the Disco concert, much like the one they had attended two years earlier. During the concert, Taylor managed to slip Tatiana’s current ring off her finger; letting her believe she had lost it. Tatiana. being incredibly stubborn refused to admit that she has lost it. But after the concert, Taylor let Tatiana know she had a replacement for her lost ring, if she was interested.
