How we met

Junior High crushes

Spencer and Taylor met in Junior High when a mutual friend invited them to Noelridge Pool to hang out. They got there anticipating it to be just another pool day, but little did they know that day would change their lives forever. They hit it off, continued to talk, and ended up coming to really like eachother. Taylor would go to Fareway (where Spencer worked at the time) with her mom to sneak a peak at Spencer and see if he noticed her. She was always too shy to say anything, but he knew what she was doing and the feelings were undeniable, even back then! Nothing really came of them talking in highschool, and it wasn’t until after they reached adulthood that they reconnected again and the sparks really flew. After spending hours talking about their families, friends, and how they had evolved and grew as people, the rest was history. They became inseperable, started dating, became best friends, and will have been together 5 years when they get married. Little did they know when they were spending hours on the phone in 8th grade talking to eachother, that they would wind up getting married and being where they are today. They have been through so much, and can’t wait for this next chapter of life together. God knew what he was doing when he brought them back together, he just needed time to make things perfect.

Proposal Story

February 1st, 2020

Spencer and Taylor are very close with Spencer's Grandpa Bill, and Spencer knew how much it would mean to Taylor if he was involved in the big moment. The day of the proposal was just an ordinary day (so Taylor thought), and they had planned on spending the evening with Grandpa Bill and helping him take on a couple projects. When Taylor got there, she walked in to see Grandpa Bill at the back of the house and he quickly said, "Spencer needs you outside," and walked away. Slightly confused, she turns to walk to the back yard and noticed a walk way of rose petals leading her through the house to the first photo Spencer and Taylor took together with a note that said, "Where it all began." She continued her way through the house and was greeted with more rose petals out on the screened in porch and heard the song, "Marry Me" by Train. She spotted Spencer standing at the end of the petal lined pathway, right in front of the pool deck surrounded by lights, tiki torches, fire pit, and her dad's keepsake urn. Taylor was so shocked and excited, she could barely process what was actually happening! When she got to Spencer, he had so many amazing things to say about their journey together. Of course, Taylor said yes! It was so surreal and special. Grandpa Bill was hiding out taping the whole thing through the window for them to cherish forever. It was truly a dream come true.
