Shawn and Taylor were introduced by the ultimate matchmakers: Shawn’s cousin Lenzi and her husband Kasey—who also happens to be Taylor's best friend. Their original plan was for them to meet at Top Golf in August of 2024… but Taylor bailed. Thankfully, fate—and Lenzi and Kasey—were persistent. February 2025 came around and both Lenzi and Kasey insisted that Taylor needed to meet Shawn. On February 21, 2025, Taylor told Lenzi to give Shawn her number. When they finally did connect, everything clicked right away. Their conversations were full of playful banter, jokes, and an easy back-and-forth that made talking to each other genuinely fun. Their first phone call was over 3 hours long and the next day, they decided to actually meet. After 5 hours together at Overtime, they were both sold! It didn’t take long to realize that being together felt effortless—and laughing together quickly became their favorite thing. Fast forward to Christmas Eve 2025. They were with Shawn’s family for what Taylor thought was a normal t-shirt exchange. Shawn and his mom had a plan: Shawn would go first and come out wearing his shirt. What most everyone didn’t know was that hidden where he changed was a ring—and a t-shirt with a very important question. When Shawn walked out, Taylor genuinely thought he was wearing the shirt that had been picked for him… until she realized this was very much not just a shirt exchange. It was a real proposal. And, of course, she said yes! What started with a missed Top Golf hangout turned into a love filled with laughter, fun, and the kind of partnership that feels like home. Taylor and Shawn are so excited to celebrate with their favorite people and can’t wait to see what the rest of their story holds.
