Take a cruise on Lake CDA. They have fun trivia on the state of Idaho! The views are good too.
Sean's favorite restaurant in Sandpoint, Idaho. Good for casual tacos and burritos before you wander the quaint downtown.
Take a walk at Tubbs Hill in downtown CDA. You can go down to the water for a quieter swim than at the city beach or walk along a number of trails that go around and over the hill.
Silverwood is the local theme park and is located just outside of town on the way to Cider Mountain. In addition to roller coasters, there is also a large water park.
Of all the national parks we've been too, Glacier has to be our favorite. The best time to visit Glacier is as soon as possible, before the glaciers melt anymore. It's a 4 hour drive to the West side of the park from CDA. If you plan on going and want trip advise we are happy to give you recommendations.
When we were at Montana State University, we visited Yellowstone regularly and in every season. It is a 7.5 hour drive to either the North or West entrance from CDA, but if you want recommendations of where to go please ask.
Hi John! There are a couple of outdoor climbing opportunities in the area. There is a crag about 10 minutes west of Sandpoint called Laclede that's a lot of fun with mix of sport, trad, and top rope. There is also a crag in Post Falls at Q'emiln Park which is also a good time with sport, trad, and top rope routes.
