We recommend flying into Boston and driving to Newport from there. It's about a 1.5 hour drive direct or you can make a road trip out of it and visit some fun spots along the way! You can also fly into Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport if you do not want to do a lot of driving.

Renting a car will be easiest option for day to day travel. If you fly into T.F. Green and plan to stay in Newport the entire trip, you can go without renting a car. We do however recommend renting a car so you can see a little more of New England while you are there!
Travel Note
Hotel
You can stay wherever you would like. If you are wanting to stay in Newport, definitely book your room as soon as possible. There are TONS of little inns all over Newport County but they are a little bit pricier in the summertime and fill up rather quickly. If you are wanting to save some money, we recommend staying in a town right outside of Newport or even looking at some Airbnb's in the area!
