We met in true 2021 fashion…on a dating app that our friends set up for us. We spoke for a couple of weeks and after a lot of persistence on Savana’s end, had our first date in early June at Dave & Buster’s. It didn’t take us long to realize we were inching toward a forever type of love.

Disguised as a belated birthday trip, I surprised Savana with a weekend away in Sedona. We stayed in a cozy cottage style suite, overlooking the beautiful Red Rocks. Bella and Honey were of course in tow since I couldn’t imagine them missing out on their mom’s engagement. With our fur babies leashed up, we headed out to hike Oak Creek Trail. Trying to avoid the unexpected number of hikers that were out in the cold of January, I found a small, secluded cliff overlooking a creek and asked Savana to be my wife! It instantly became one of our favorite weekends away!

We planned our first big international trip together in the Spring of 2024: destination Greece and Spain. Knowing I wouldn’t be able to hold on to this surprise for long, I decided our first night in Mykonos would be the perfect time to pop the question. After hiking from our hotel to the other side of the island, I found the perfect spot on the shoreline, got down on one knee, and asked Taylor “about forever?!”. We celebrated with a beautiful sunset dinner overlooking the Aegean Sea. It was the most perfect day!
