We met on a dating app called Hinge and immediately decided to meet up. Initially, we planned to go bowling and have lunch. We had an amazing time talking over lunch, and then went bowling, Taylor won (of course). We decided we did not want the date to end, so it lasted another 8 hours. Literally. We played some tennis at a nearby court (Ryan won this time), stopped at an ice cream shop, drove around in the jeep with the doors off, played cards at Taylor's place with the now co-maid of honor, and then went out for dinner. It was a day to remember, and we have spent A LOT of time together since. First Date ~ 4/23/22
Ever since the first date we have been nearly inseparable. We went on dates or talked on the phone almost every day, and Lauren can attest to this. It wasn't long before Taylor said the first L bomb, and Ryan was shortly after. From family beach trips in NC, to weekends at Lake Anna with friends, to skiing adventures in Vermont and Colorado, we left no stone unturned about each other and our goals. It was clear how cohesive we were in a relationship and how well we complimented each others personalities and values. We talked about our future frequently and how it would look. We knew we were going to get married and be together forever, it was only a matter of time. What better place than on top of one of Ryan's favorite places on Earth, and where we went on our first vacation for Taylor's birthday? (There were plenty of distractions and red herrings going into the trip of course). Ryan went down on one knee, and Taylor was shocked at the surprise, but couldn't wait to say YES! Engaged ~ 3/17/23
