Bekah moved from Florida to Raleigh to work at Athens Drive High School in 2020 and quickly noticed a guy who looked about her age in the classroom across from her. She tried to say hi a few times… and got absolutely nothing in return. (Rude, honestly.) Two years later, she spotted Taylor out at the infamous Teets and somehow was still met with the same “shoo” energy. Months later (and possibly encouraged by a few Miller Lites), Taylor emailed Bekah to invite her to a tailgate. She was so caught off guard she didn’t respond at all. After an awkward hallway encounter, an apology, and the added confidence of a Zach Bryan concert pregame, Taylor finally slid into her Instagram DMs inviting her out for a friend’s birthday. Bekah debated it, mainly because coworkers, but ultimately joined a group of strangers at The Avenue for cornhole and a drink. A State tailgate soon followed, and the rest was history. A weekend in Boone a few short weeks later sealed the deal, and from there it was nonstop: tailgates, hockey games, surviving baseball season (an impressive feat), and plenty of long “working” hours at Durham Bulls games. Somewhere between working hard and playing hard, they realized they were a perfect match. Since then, it’s been hours on baseball fields, selling two houses, buying their dream house, eloping, welcoming the sweetest boy, Bennett… and now they’re ready to celebrate all of it with their favorite people!
