FAQs

If you have any questions other than what we've listed here, feel free to text us!
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by no later than March 15th.

Question

I don't see the ceremony details on my invitation - where is it?

Answer

We are having a private ceremony with only our immediate family in attendance. While we'd love to have everyone there, our apartment only fits so many! We look forward to celebrating with all of you at the reception.

Question

What time should I get to the venue?

Answer

Since we're having a private ceremony, the time at Bacchus will be for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. We're asking guests to arrive around 5:30pm, but if you're running a bit behind because of NYC madness, don't sweat it.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The Welcome Party is dressy casual - so dresses and slacks are just fine. Feel free to skip a tie and floor length gown. The Reception is Cocktail or Indian attire.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we adore your little ones, we have decided to make our wedding weekend an adults-only event.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Of course - please note any dietary restrictions in the RSVP for the Reception.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes - the Hilton Hotel and the Ace Hotel are both very close to Bacchus and we have room blocks available on the Travel tab of the website. But any hotel in NYC should be fine (public transit for the win!!!)

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the Welcome Party or Reception?

Answer

There are several hotels within walking distance of both Someday Bar and Bacchus, but if you're staying anywhere in NYC, you can always take the train. Bacchus and Someday are close to the Hoyt-Schermerhon stop (A, C, G trains) and the Nevins Street Stop (2, 3, 4, 5 trains). If you're not a train person, Uber and Lyft run 24/7 and typically take no more than 5 minutes to pick you up.

Question

Are there wedding colors?

Answer

Nope - but Taylor is wearing a pink wedding dress so if you don't want to be matching with the bride (she doesn't care) then maybe avoid pink. Rajiv is wearing a white sherwani so if you don't want to be matching with the groom (he doesn't care) then maybe avoid white.

For all the days along the way
