Maid of Honor
Lauren is my sister and also one of my best friends. She's in her final year at Duke Divinity school and is one of the funniest people I know. She loves diet coke, chaco-wearing, Harry Potter, and puns.
Maid of Honor
Savannah is my sister and also one of my best friends. She's a senior at Virginia Tech in construction engineering, and in her spare time she can often be found crafting, making the best homemade soft pretzels, or wandering the mystical aisles of Ulta.
Bridesmaid
Jacki has been my best friend since 7th grade at Stonewall. She can be found hitting the books hard at VCOM these days, but we still manage to get our wine and ice cream hangouts in via FaceTime. We have so many fun memories together- from high school track meets to all of the shenanigans we got into together at JMU, it feels like Jacki has always been there to provide a laugh and a shoulder to lean on!
Bridesmaid
I met Brandi during our sophomore year at JMU and we were instant friends! Whether we were at a JMU football game or attempting to call a cab in the snow, we always had a blast. We used to be able to walk to each others' apartments and now we live about 3 hours apart, but we still make time to get together and compare crazy teaching stories.
Bridesmaid
I've known Kristin since our awkward middle and high school days, where our friendship began to grow at track practice. I was so glad she ended up going to JMU as well, and we ended up having plenty of adventures there! Nowadays, Kristin is always traveling somewhere new and I love getting to see her pictures and hear the stories. She's working as a travel OT, and can be found wherever the job takes her next.
Bridesmaid
Rachel and I met at the bus stop at JMU on our way to EDUC 360, and we have been friends ever since. She is the kind of friend that you can always count on, no matter what. Rachel teaches 4th grade in Henrico, and we love getting together for Mexican food and exchanging hilarious teaching stories!
Bridesmaid
Chelsea and I met at JMU at a morning swimming group led by a graduate professor, affectionately known as 'John's Swim Cult'. I couldn't have made it through those swims without Chelsea, and we may have sometimes chosen to do kick sets so that we could talk while we swam. Now, Chelsea lives a few hours away in North Carolina and works at a science center, but she still motivates me to keep swimming and we can always find time to meet halfway for wine!
