How We Met

09.29.19

We met at a mutual friend's party. I didn’t know anyone else there, but he and his friends quickly made me feel welcome. We ended up spending most of the night talking and laughing—it was one of those effortless connections you don’t expect but never forget. At the time, the timing wasn’t quite right for anything more, but apparently, I made an impression because afterward he kept asking my friend for my number. A few months later, life had shifted, and we reconnected. For our first real date, he went all out—taking me to a fancy dinner followed by the Signature Room for champagne with a view, clearly trying to impress (and it worked). From there, things just fell into place. What started as a chance meeting turned into something neither of us expected but now couldn’t imagine life without.

The Proposal

08.17.24

I knew I wanted the proposal to be a surprise, surrounded by nature—one of the many things she’s brought into my life. When she mentioned a camping trip at Pinnacles National Park with friends, I saw my chance. I asked to crash the girls’ weekend and secretly teamed up with our friends to plan it all. A park ranger tipped us off to a reservoir with a scenic bridge, right near the end of the hike. As we walked along the water, I dropped to one knee and asked her to marry me. She said yes—and the quiet hike turned into a full-on champagne celebration. Our forever had begun.
