Question

Soooo- is this an invitation to your wedding?

Answer

Well, no. We aren't really having a wedding. We are driving out to CO. In the state of CO, couples can solemnize their marriage themselves-- no officiants or witnesses needed. So, we are going to take a hike with the dogs, find a special spot, exchange our vows, and declare it! Then file all the paperwork. It's real. It's legal. It's how we want to do it. So, this is an invitation to come celebrate the officialness with us! We'll already be legally married, but we still want to party with loved ones.

Question

Where should we park?

Answer

Please do NOT park on Booth Road. We are a small narrow hill with lots of driveways, and we love our neighbors. We live very close to Signal Centers, which is a local non profit that provides support for early education and adult education for individuals with special needs (Molly used to work there! Best walking commute ever!) They have graciously allowed our guests to park in the large parking lot behind their building, as well as their small Parking lot in front of their building. Check out the "Pictures" page for a diagram/map of where to park, and the short walk to the house. We still encourage carpooling, having a DD, and/or taking a Lyft to and from. Stay safe out there, friends.

Question

"But what about [insert any traditional wedding thing here]...?!"

Answer

This is literally just a backyard party. Not a typical wedding or wedding reception. Feel free to BYOB, bring snacks, brings games, just hang out and celebrate community and love in our yard with us.

Question

We know you love your dogs. Can we bring our dogs to the party, too?

Answer

While we LOVE all doggos, we'd prefer to not have more dogs at the party. Our girls will probably even be kept up for parts of the time... we love dogs, but we don't want to have our party at a dog park, ya know?

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

Check out our Travel page for some ideas. The historic Chattanooga Choo Choo has given us a group rate if you book before August 3rd! It's in a great location to tour around Chattanooga, as well. You must CALL to book with the special rate. If the Choo Choo isn't for you, then check out AirBnBs around Chattanooga and surrounding area. You'll want to stay in neighborhoods like St. Elmo, NorthShore, SouthSide, Missionary Ridge/Ridgeside (close to us!), or up on Lookout or Signal Mountain, depending on how far back they are. Feel free to reach out if you have questions. There's really not great public transit, so a rental car will be necessary if you also want to venture out to the mountains. If you are staying downtown or SouthSide, there's a free electric shuttle that will take you all around downtown and over to NorthShore. There's also CityBikes. And then you can take Lyfts beyond those parameters.
