Telluride in August is a summer wonderland! You can expect pleasant temperatures with highs around 75 degrees and lows around 45 degrees. Afternoon showers and chillier night temperatures are a possibility so we always recommend bringing a jacket along with you for evening activities and events!
This is a very important thing to be aware of. The town of Telluride is situated at 8,750 feet. Mountain Village is even higher with accommodations between 9,400-10,000 feet. This means there is 30% less oxygen in the air in Telluride than at sea level. We recommend staying hydrated. Even before you leave home, be sure to drink lots of water and electrolytes! Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) should also help. You can also buy disposable cans of oxygen, which work wonders! You can find them at the local pharmacy or the ACE Hardware in town. Please call the Telluride Medical Center, (970) 728-3848 if you are worried about your symptoms. It is important to not ignore any of these symptoms. We are super excited about our wedding and to celebrate with you! We kindly ask that you leave the kids at home or make arrangements for them during our events. We really want to enjoy this day in a relaxed intimate atmosphere where we can fully celebrate with our adult guests.
