West Kill Brewing

18 minutes away from the wedding location! Highly recommended online with a lot of good press, too...and I'm honestly surprised I've never been. Their taproom is open Thursday through Sunday!

Scribner's Catskill Lodge

Cute place for dinner or drinks. Great view of Hunter Mountain.

Woodstock

Woodstock

Woodstock, NY 12498

Check out Woodstock! It’s a 30-45 minute drive from Hunter. Although not officially where the festival took place, it’s an enclave of hippie boomer artists…you know what I’m talking about. Lots of shops and cute cafes. There’s a great meatball place called Sharkie’s.

Hunter-west Kill Wilderness

Hunter-west Kill Wilderness

25 Evergreen Mount Road, West Kill, NY 12492

Beautiful hike in the mountainous nature preserve. It will be chilly so bring layers! Kill sounds scary it’s part of the linguistic legacy of the region's early Dutch settlers. As a body of water, a kill is a creek. The word comes from the Middle Dutch kille, meaning "riverbed" or "water channel".
