Louis and Taylor's story begins in Stowe, Vermont where they were introduced by mutual friends on a ski trip (shout out to Sara and Marissa)! Louis recalls sincerely enjoying "every word she said," and Taylor remembers enjoying the banter they shared (particularly over Teddy's peanut butter). After the trip, Taylor texted Louis and invited him have dinner if he ever found himself in DC (where she lived at the time). Louis immediately sent a screenshot of the text to his friends and schemed a plan to visit her in the Spring. After a few visits back and forth to test out the chemistry, the two were inseparable, traveling frequently to see the other whenever possible. That's why, when both of their leases were up, they knew it was time for their next adventure. In the Spring of 2023, Taylor packed her bags (with the help of Louis and friends) and moved to NYC to begin the next chapter of their lives together. In the Summer, they moved into their first apartment, just steps away from Central Park. Over the next two years, they built a foundation for their lives together, supporting each other during the big moments (Taylor starting grad school and Louis getting promoted!) and the small but meaningful ones ( "date days" in the city and walks from the top to the bottom of Manhattan). Through every challenge and every excitement, they formed the kind of team they wanted to be for one another. In the Summer of 2025, Louis took Taylor for a walk on their favorite stroll in Central Park and asked Taylor to deepen their commitment for each other by marrying him. Of course, she happily agreed.
