Admittedly, they met on a dating app in 2019 while LJ was playing baseball in California for the Lancaster Jethawks. LJ invited Taylor to a game on July 13th, where the team lost 5-17. To no surprise, LJ didn't have much to talk about after that game, but Taylor came back the next day and from there -- the rest was history. LJ was quickly moved to another team in the organization and left California after only a few weeks of getting to know one another. In the early off-season, LJ invited Taylor to Kansas to meet his family where they solidified their relationship. Although he never actually asked her to be his girlfriend. They spent that off-season and the next year traveling back and forth from KS and CA sharing each other's very different worlds. In 2021, not only did they drive 20 hours to adopt their labradoodle Moose, but they also decided to take the next step in their lives and move to Phoenix where they could spend more time during the baseball season together. Today, they are happily planning the wedding while Taylor works from home taking care of their fur baby and LJ is playing his second season in AAA for the Albuquerque Isotopes.
