This little wine bar (with great snacks and other food stuffs, beer, etc.) is right on our block, we can spit on you from the balcony ;). It is highly recommended if you're in the area for a taste of what the locals like and a lovely relaxed evening atmosphere. With view of the Gasometer*
Woah! There's a reason thousands of customers have left reviews on the wall, this place rocks! Every option is a good one, the veggie (gemüse) is highly recommended too! This is probably the second most popular kebab place in Berlin (behind Mustafa's).
There are a couple Mustafa's now, but this is the original. Be prepared to wait in line from 20-60 minutes but be prepared to light your tastebuds on fire! There are spätis (bodegas) all along the line so you won't get thirsty waiting. This neighbourhood (Bergmannkiez around Bergmannstraße) is also just a lovely area.
Berlin is the #1 greenest capitol city in all of western Europe! Take a walk (and pack a picnic!) through Treptower Park in the SE corner of Berlin and realise how easily you could get lost in this central forest. Boat rentals from motor boats, paddle boats, etc. can be rented or you can try and find all three woodpecker species! The water runs parallel to the park.
The Berlin Zoo sports the most comprehensive collection of species in the world and is world-renowned as an important partner in the breeding and maintenance of many endangered and extinct-in-the-wild species. Admission is about 16 euros per person.
No Milk Today is a 'totally hip', all vegan Cafe in the Graeferkiez (Kiez means neighbourhood) owned by Lisa's friend Eva who will be baking our wedding cake(s). If you're in the area, ALL the cakes and coffees, smoothies, and snacks will blow your mind.
This is the (in our opinion) best Panorama view of Berlin. At a fraction of the price of the TV Tower, this building allows an iconic overview of the entirety of Berlin's skyline including the famous TV Tower, which is better to be looking at than out from.
This charming outdoor cafe/bar is a wonderful place to stop for a pause during the day to enjoy a drink and a waffle (really good!) or to come to in the evening to enjoy drinks while watching the sun go down over the canal. Oh, and since I've been working here for 4 years, you could probably mention my name for a discount ;)
