Not many people can say they found "the one" in high school. We're some of the lucky ones. Years before Lane plucked up the courage to ask Taylor out during their routine after-school chats in the parking lot; we were one of each others closest friends. Our friendship got its start when Lane was fatefully assigned to be Taylor's escort on the "Victory Court," the eighth grade version of homecoming. If you had told us that that the sweaty, nervous person beside us would one day be our spouse, we would have called you crazy. Now, we can't imagine our lives apart. It was sophomore year when Lane asked Taylor to be his girlfriend. Taylor wasted no time getting her hands on his letterman jacket- maybe she knew she was going to be a Fajkus even then. When our high school years drew to a close, we started a new chapter together in Aggieland. The next four years were colored by A&M football games, Saturday nights spent with a big group of our closest friends, and trying our best to stay out of trouble on Northgate. As time went on, we learned that there is no bad day that can't be fixed with a date night at Chili's (their cheddar bites are the BEST, just trust us), that boys can like binge watching Gossip Girl too (sorry, Lane), and any time together is well spent (even if its winter and that time spent is in a hunting blind). We've celebrated all of our major milestones as a team: graduations, the start of our careers, and that one fateful Christmas that Lane made Taylor's dream of corgi ownership come true. We also make time to toast the small victories: buying our first cars, Lane responding to his first fire call, and being able to finish a pitcher of beer in 74 seconds (WHOOP!) This has been a story almost a decade in the making and we could not have gotten here without your love and support. Thank you for being a part of our story. We look forward to sharing our next chapter with you.
