FAQs

Question

I have a question I don't see here, who should i contact?

Answer

Please read all FAQs to ensure your question isn't included here; we've done our best to cover all bases. Questions are ordered from most to least commonly asked. If you have a different question or need more clarification, you may text the Mother of the Bride, Angela, at 606-305-0918. Please refrain from asking the bride or groom unless necessary! <3

Question

When should i RSVP by?

Answer

We hope to have all RSVPs by August 31st. If you need more time, please let us know! Unfortunately, if you don't respond by August 31st, you and your party will be removed from the guest list.

Question

How can i RSVP?

Answer

You can RSVP here on the front page of the site! If you're having an issue with the site you can text Taylor at 606-425-7839 or the bride's mother, Angela, at 606-305-0918! We hope to have all RSVPs by August 31st.

Question

What if i can't make it?

Answer

We'll miss you, but we completely understand. Please RSVP 'no' as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Can i change my RSVP?

Answer

If you need to change your RSVP, please get in touch with Taylor at 606-425-7839 or Angela at 606-305-0918. If you are changing a 'no' to a 'yes,' we may not be able to accommodate you.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

We have a small registry on our site's 'registry' tab. Since the bride and groom have almost everything they need at home, we offer the option to contribute to the honeymoon fund, which is linked here! The bride and groom love to travel, and contributing can quickly transform their honeymoon from casual to luxurious! https://www.honeyfund.com/site/hudson-kadel-10-18-2025

Question

How will i receive updated information or changes to the wedding?

Answer

We hope everything goes according to plan. If it doesn't, the bride or groom themself will text you with an update.

Question

Where is the venue?

Answer

Unfortunately, our venue doesn't have an exact address, but we've made getting you there as easy as possible! If these directions won't work for you, please ask for an exact coordinate! They will be posted here soon. Our venue is on Highway 192 in Somerset, at mile marker six on the left. We'll have plenty of signage to make sure you find us. If you're coming from out of town, we recommend going to downtown Somerset and heading east on E Mt. Vernon Street. This route is the easiest way for your GPS to get you to the venue. From here, you'll cross KY Route 914 and meet HWY 192. At this point, you'll start watching your mile markers.

Question

Is parking available at your venue?

Answer

Our venue provides plenty of parking, and we'll have extensive signage to direct visitors to parking areas, but we recommend carpooling!

Question

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

The trail from the ceremony to the reception is paved and wheelchair friendly. The ceremony and reception sites are entirely on the forest floor, and while they are well-used and packed, wheelchair users will need extra help to get past some spots.

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception are both outdoors, so plan accordingly! We will have canopies available for the reception in case of possible rain.

Question

What's seating like at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony area doesn't accommodate many chairs. We'll have seating with two rows reserved, and the rest will be open seating. We ask that you leave that seating for guests who can't stand for the entire ceremony. You're welcome to bring a folding chair to ensure your comfort during the ceremony! The reception area will have ample seating for all guests.

Question

Where do i sit at the reception?

Answer

We have 14 tables and open seating! While tables will be reserved for the wedding party, your table will be numbered. This doesn't affect your seating choice!

Question

What's the weather like?

Answer

Mid-October weather can be pretty unpredictable in Kentucky, but we've done our best to understand what our day could look like. We expect temps in the high 60s and—if you're spending our evening with us—lows in the high 40s, so we recommend bringing a light jacket. We can't predict precipitation this far out, but we are prepared. Because our venue is outdoors, we can only partially shield it with canopies, so in case of rain, we recommend an umbrella.

Question

How far is the reception?

Answer

Our reception is on the same property, a short walk from the ceremony. The walkway is unpaved, and we'll have a small golf cart to shuttle guests. Remember that this shuttle is for our friends and family who cannot make this walk themselves, so please save those spots for them so we can keep everyone from waiting!

Question

Can i bring a plus-one?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We can only accommodate plus-ones if it is listed on your wedding invitation. If you weren't given a plus-one, it's because we believe you'll fit in well with other guests!

Question

Are my children invited?

Answer

YES! Your invite states the number of seats we've reserved for your family. Please let us know if we've made a mistake and left out a little, and we will accommodate them. For those bringing children, please be sure to watch them closely. We'll be on a large, unfenced property! Although childcare will not be available at the reception, the ceremony and reception are child-friendly. We suggest that children not be included in after-party time as we lead into the late-night hours.

Question

Can i bring my pet?

Answer

YES! We're huge animal lovers and encourage you to bring your pet to our big day. We ask that your pet have a proper recall or be on a leash, as the property is not fenced, and we don't want to see your pet lost.

Question

Is this a smoke-free venue?

Answer

While our venue isn't smoke-free, it belongs to a dear friend who's allowed us to have our wedding here, and we want to keep it as clean as possible. We ask that you dispose of all cigarette butts or empty vapes in proper bins or keep them on your person. There is a ZERO tolerance policy for littering during both ceremony and reception.

Question

What's the dresscode?

Answer

We're opting for a wedding-casual dress code. Think your 'Sunday best.' We ask you not to wear blue jeans or leggings. Flats or dress shoes are recommended as our venue is entirely outdoors. Wedding casual can be tricky, but we've found this easy guide to finding the right outfit! https://www.theknot.com/content/wedding-guest-attire-cheat-sheet

Question

I'm out of town, where do I stay?

Answer

You can check our site's travel tab for recommended lodging! We don't have enough out-of-town guests to warrant a hotel block, but if you need any other lodging advice, please let us know!

Question

I'm visiting from out of town, what else can i do during the weekend?

Question

Will there be options for guests with dietary restrictions and allergies?

Answer

Yes! Our food will be entirely allergy-friendly, with cross-contamination in mind for all of the most common allergies. If you are concerned about an allergy or other dietary restriction, let us know, and we will be willing to accommodate you. We'll have vegan and vegetarian options available, as well as meat, to accommodate all of our friends and family.

Question

Will you serve alcohol?

Answer

Our wedding is alcohol-friendly! During cocktail hour, we'll serve signature ' bride and groom ' drinks. However, we recommend bringing your own drinks, as we'll have very few free canned and bottled drinks available due to our budget.

Question

What's the itinerary?

Answer

Our ceremony starts at 2 p.m. sharp. We recommend arriving 30-60 minutes early to ensure you're on time. If you happen to arrive late, please join the crowd in the back to avoid interruptions. Our full itinerary is posted in our site's schedule tab!

Question

What time does your reception end? Will there be an after party?

Answer

That's up to you! We're staying overnight on the property, and while we expect most guests to leave around 7 p.m., we expect some to spend the after-party hours with us!

Question

Is there a time gap between ceremony and reception?

Answer

We plan to hold a cocktail hour between the ceremony and reception. During this time, guests can choose from a signature cocktail, a pastry, or both. Kyle, Taylor, and the wedding party expect to attend the reception around 3:30.

Question

What should I expect after the ceremony?

Answer

Immediately after the ceremony, the bride, groom, wedding party, and close family will have an hour for photos. All other guests will gather at the reception area for cocktail hour during this time!

Question

Am i allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

Please refrain from using your phone during our ceremony; we want you to be in the moment with us! We have a cherished pair of friends who will be shooting photography and videography for us, and we will share that with you when we can. However, you can take as many photos as you'd like during cocktail hour and our reception.

Question

Is there anything i should bring as a guest?

Answer

Probably not! You don't need anything but your everyday items, aside from alcohol if you'd like to drink more than our signature cocktails.

Question

What are your meal options?

Answer

Our catering is changing!! We will update this section as soon as possible.
