Corazon Cocina
Corazon is a must try for anyone who loves delicious tacos and ceviche. Located in the Santa Barbara Public Market, there are food options for everyone, but we don't know why you'd go anywhere else. J.R. thinks the best taco on the menu is the Norteno but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Taylor orders the Sal De Mar ceviche EVERY SINGLE TIME we go to Corazon. Wine + Beer is a great place for a drink in the Public Market.
Jelly Bowl
Our favorite beach and the spot where J.R. proposed, Jelly Bowl is the beach for locals with beautiful cliffs and a sandy shoreline. Keep an eye out for seals!
Rori's Ice Cream Kitchen
Rori's ice cream is the best! We both love the peanut butter flavor but don't be shy to ask for samples. They have unique flavors worth trying. Ask them to make an ice cream sandwich with the chocolate cookies and thank us later.
Sakana Sushi Bar & Japanese
One of the first times J.R. spent time with Taylor's family was at a sushi dinner at Sakana's. J.R. was a relatively new sushi lover and Taylor asked him if he'd be okay with chopsticks. Taylor's dad, John, was quick to call to the waiter asking for a fork and knife. J.R. impressed us all by picking up the Light and Healthy Roll with his chopsticks, not an easy feat, and is now a master chopstick user. Order the light and healthy roll and see if you can pass this challenge. Be sure to get the Habanero Yellow-tail Melt Roll too!
