Maid of Honor
Lori is Taylor’s younger sister and has been by her side since the beginning. Some of their most fond memories through the years were playing on sports teams together, being Lori’s homework tutor, half marathon training, and rooming together through college. We share a love for concerts and though our personalities are vastly different, we balance each other out and can always have a good time. She’s also been a pretty great aunt to Peyton and I’m sure will have many “cool aunt” stories to tell in the future.
Best Man
Wyatt and Joseph became immediate friends when they first met at kindergarten round-up. While growing up they loved to play cowboys, and Joseph even took his very first trip to the principals office in 1st grade for getting in a fight with some older kids that were being unkind to Wyatt. That school fight would end up being their last, as the Kennedy family moved back to the family farm halfway through their 1st grade school year. But the bond these two had made in such a short time would withstand that move and into adulthood. Crazy! I guess when you know, you know! As they have gotten older, their time has transitioned into them spending time hunting together. And though they now live 4 hours apart, they still find time to talk on the phone and catch up every couple of weeks.
Bridesmaid
Taylor and Mary met at K-State when they were lab partners during vet school. They lived together for 3 years before graduating and moving on to their big kid jobs. Wine and movie nights became their thing to decompress from school. Taylor is also tokened with getting Mary and her husband together and was even present for their first date; a few tables away. As time has passed, we are able to pick up right where we left off.
Groomsman
Lance and Joseph have been friends since they were little. Their dads were friends growing up, so Lance has always been an extension of the Kennedy family. They grew up doing many activities together such as sports, 4-H, shooting sports, hunting and fishing. After graduating high school, Lance and Joseph were also on the Soldier Fire Department together. But if you want a really good story, find Lance sometime in the evening and ask him how many mason jars are in the bottom of the pond after a night of "camping" at the Kennedy's pond.
Bridesmaid
Mercedes and Taylor met in college when she started dating Tommy, a friend of Taylor’s. Our fondest memories were spent showing up to football games extremely late (like 3rd or 4th quarter) and beating the boys in some 2-on-2 basketball. We also pride ourselves on our ability to coach from the stands and claim to be amazing recruiters if we were ever given the chance. Since then we have grown up and bonded over kids and the dramas of life.
Groomsman
Austin and Joseph were classmates in high school. Their dads were also friends in high school and I'm sure have some very similar stories to tell as these boys do. Over the years, they took many shop classes and played sports together. One thing that Austin and Joseph have found common ground on is the appreciation of red tractors and you will often find them discussing cattle or crops like a couple of old farmers. Now ladies. After a couple drinks, Austin has also been known to clean a kitchen or two and do the dishes. He also enjoys baking on these evenings, but I would caution sampling these confections and maybe just stick to those things made prior to any alcohol consumption.
Bridesmaid
Amanda is Taylor’s veterinary technician at the clinic and they have been going strong for the last 3 years. They often spend their days in some pretty messy situations, but always seem to find some fun in every day, even the rough ones. Amanda basically keeps Taylor sane daily and is always there to lend a helping hand or a friendly ear.
Groomsman
Joseph met Lane while taking a math class in high school. It should be mentioned that Lance Coe was also in this class, so minimal learning was actually done between the 3 of them. After this day, Lane started hanging out with Lance and Joseph while hunting and fishing, and they later became roommates after graduating college and moving back to Soldier.
Bridesmaid
Meagan and Taylor met through, as Peyton would term it, “the boys”. Since, we have bonded as we typically have plenty of time to chat and hang out while said boys are busy working on the farm. In our time on the farm, we have graduated from gate openers to novice tractor operators. Really the possibilities are endless with us; these boys should count themselves lucky.
Groomsman
Derrick is the in law of the Coe Family. He and Kelsey lived 1/4 mile north of Joseph's house and Joseph would often stop in to visit and partake in Derrick's always stocked fridge. Derrick was quickly adopted into the friend group.
