How we met!

Taylor and JJ grew up their entire childhoods merely 200 ft apart, but never knew each other till much much later. Taylor's sister Kristen, grew up best friends with JJ's sister Lindsay. Their mom's were school room-moms together and everything! Taylor grew up going to school with Luke & Thomas, but after graduating St. Fabian, never saw the Lawleys after moving to different high schools. Fast forwards 8 years later, Taylor finds herself in the perfect college house for senior year with her 3 girlfriends, and who is the next-door neighbor? Luke Lawley! A year goes by and it's graduation day! (woohoo!) So all the families come up to watch their kids graduate. Out on the lawn the Lawleys and Halls re-met and catch up, JJ mentions he and Lindsay play in a volleyball league together and they should recruit Kristen to play with them. Superhero dad, Mike Hall, pipes up that they really should recruit Taylor, and that's when the two met! Funnily enough JJ hadn't planned on coming to this graduation (he didn't even know graduation was happening until that morning), but a twist of fate opened up his afternoon plans and up to Lansing he drove! Taylor and JJ stood out on the lawn, talking about shared interests of volleyball, and careers of Physical Therapy! The next day, a Facebook friend request pops up on Taylor phone from none other than JJ himself. He messages a few days later needed a sub for his volleyball game, but Taylor cant make it... oh no!! Luckily, the next week the same predicament, JJ needs a sub! So he shoots another message, and this time she agrees! This was the beginning of many more volleyball seasons to come. Several months later, J mentions he's going to the circus with his niece and sisters, Taylor had never seen a circus and loves cotton candy, so she tags along! Their first date? A family outing? A week later they plan a real first date, dinner at Vicente's Cuban and a comedy show at The Fox. Both these traditions now occur each year. This is our favorite story to tell, and we can't wait to see the many chapters to follow! -Taylor & JJ
