We met when I went to train with another advisor in Jesse's office. A few of us went out to lunch that day, and we ordered the same meal without knowing and chowed down on our buffalo wings side-by-side. Conversation was effortless, and there were definitely sparks! We kept finding things we had in common - music, books, hobbies, even both being Northerners (he's from Connecticut and I'm from New York) who moved to Georgia to be Academic Advisors at the University in North Georgia just two months apart! We hung out again with a group of friends at a street fair a few weeks later, and it quickly turned from a group hangout, to a day date, that then turned into a dinner and movie date that same night! We've been inseparable since!

Jesse's step-mom, Stephanie, has a photography business, and asked if she could take some sample shots of me at a park for her website. Jess and his dad were going to go to the gun range while Steph and I took pictures, and then we'd meet back up for an early Thanksgiving family dinner. Little did I know, Jess had scouted the perfect location to ask, and had gotten his dad and Steph in on the whole thing! As she was taking pictures of me sitting on a bench in the most beautiful spot at the park, in front of the rising sun, Jess came out with a blazer on, walked up to me, and got down on one knee! We both don't really remember what we said, but we were ecstatic, and thanks to them we had it all on camera for forever memories!

We've decided to go more non-traditional with our wedding planning. We're holding a very small and intimate ceremony with just our parents present, at the park in Georgia where we got engaged! The location is special to us, and this is where our love story started, so we thought there couldn't be anything better than starting our marriage off in this sweet and simple way. We have so many wonderful family members we love that live all over the country, so of course we're going to plan parties down the road so we get to celebrate with them all!

As luck would have it, we began the house hunt and fell in love with the very first one we set foot in! It's a brand new build, with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. It has a small yard, but enough space for Samson to run around to his heart's content! We were able to close this month, and have since started moving things in! We want to keep you all updated on our journey and will post pictures on this site as soon as we get settled!
