The dress code is cocktail. Our venue is called "The Gatsby" for a reason; it is a stunning, historical location rich with charm and original craftsmanship. We want our guests to look and feel their best. The bridesmaids and groomsmen will be dressed in black, but there is no color off limits (other than white). We encourage guests to lean into formal attire, but floor length dresses are optional. Please, no jeans, shorts, tennis shoes, or caps.
We love your little ones; however, we have limited the number of children invited to attend. We are striving to achieve a very intimate ceremony and reception, with our closest friends and family. Your invitation will list who is invited to attend.
Our ceremony will start promptly at 5:00 PM. The Gatsby doors will open at 4:30 PM. We highly suggest arriving before 4:45 PM to have a moment to settle in, and enjoy the venue and all it has to offer. The exterior doors will be locked at 5:00 PM and will reopen after the ceremony concludes.
We are striving to achieve a very intimate ceremony & reception, with our closest friends and family. In order to stay on track with our guest list, your invitation will be made out to "Your Name & Guest" if a plus one has been given to you.

Yes, we currently have a hotel block at Fairfield Inn & Suites in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Availability is limited, but there are other hotel options in Shelbyville if you would like to stay elsewhere. Please see the "travel" section on this website for more information.
We will be having a completely unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we will ask that all phones to be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us and for our photographer to be able to capture the best moments, which we will absolutely share with you.
