Our Story

It all started with bowling

We never thought showing up to bowling one Sunday night would change our lives forever. But it did. From that moment on, we knew there was something special between us. It started off innocent, just getting to know each other. But the more we talked, the better friends we became, the more our connection grew. Pretty soon, we were sharing all of our secrets with each other. We both wanted the same things in life and went through some rough patches. We could relate to one another with past experiences and spoke openly about what made us who we are. We were so in sync with each other, we could communicate without even saying a word. We make each other better versions of ourselves. Our friends saw it coming before we did. It didn't take long to fall in love with one another. We weren't together long before we already started talking about a future together. The best part though was how fiercely we loved, and how much we expressed that love with each one. We both were in past relationships where communication was an issue. But with us, it was easy. A complete night and day difference. We didn't know what was missing in our lives. But once we found one another and formed a connection, there was no going back. Once we met each other's families, that was it. We knew we would fit together perfectly. We both loved bowling of course; but we also loved camping, bike riding, board games, going to softball or football games and just spending time with family. The night we got engaged was magical. To some, it may seem underwheling because it wasn't in any fancy place. But it was a special place to us. And for that reason, I (Jamie) had no idea it was coming, especially that soon. After going through psychosis and being in the hospital, it was last thing on my mind. I was just trying to get back to normal. But I wouldn't change it for the world. I thought it was just another typical Thursday night bowling. But I was wrong. Little did I know, Taylor had been planning the night for months! He was so nervous and I never even caught on. We got engaged on Taylor's grandma's birthday - December 7, 2024 at City Limits. Right after practice, Taylor stopped me from starting by telling me how much he loved me. And before I knew it, he was down on one knee on the approach, asking me to make him the happiest man in the world by marrying him. I literally squealed and screamed yes! It was caught on camera by some of our bowling friends too. My mom, his mom, my sister and best friend were all in special attendance that night. We didn't start planning right away, we were just letting it set in. By the time we got around to truly planning, it was Summer of 2024. We chose a venue close to home that was the best option for us. Although we wanted a September wedding (they were already booked), October is nice too. We will be getting married two days before my (Jamie's) mom's birthday, so we shouldn't forget 10.11.2025. Cheers to taking on one of the most generic last names ever!
