We first met sometime in 2020. Jahvon and his best friend Joey had moved back to Clovis after everything was shut down. Jahvon's first impression of me was at One Way Speed. My best friend Haley and I trained there throughout high school and even would work out there occasionally in college. Jahvon and Joey came to workout while Haley and I were there. Apparently, they both were in awe when they saw both of us sweaty and out of breath. In a quick discussion they had decided, Joey liked Haley and Jahvon liked me. Months later, Haley and Joey began dating. Jahvon and I then had a more official introduction as the "best friends". In 2021, Jahvon and I dated each other on and off, but it was not quite the right time. We both talk about how even way back then; we had a feeling that we were meant to be. I went to nursing school at the beginning of 2022 in Long Beach and we had gone our separate ways. We both dated other people, we lived our lives and occasionally would cross paths as our best friends were still together and are now married! Fast forward to November of 2023. Jahvon was living in Redding, and I had finished nursing school but was living back at home until I passed my boards. Both of us now single...*wink wink*. Haley was hosting a family game night and conveniently invited both Jahvon and I to come. I had a cardiac ablation surgery scheduled on November 8th, 2023. I was talking to the Barham family about the surgery and when Jahvon heard about it, he was immediately concerned. Jahvon ended up texting me the day before my surgery and that was the start of us talking again. At the end of November, I planned a weekend trip to Redding to go visit Jahvon. I thought I was crazy driving 5+ hours to go see a guy. But this was different, it was us, the ultimate comeback story. Jahvon asked me to be his girlfriend on December 8th, 2023. We were long distance until June of 2024 when he moved back to Clovis. After dating for a little over a year and a half, Jahvon asked me to marry him on August 29th, 2025. AND NOW, we are so excited to be getting married!!!
