--Taylor's Story-- Jacob and I met freshman year of college. We both were involved with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and the Blugold Marching Band. When we got back to school in the fall of our sophmore year, Jacob and I became closer friends. We started hanging out with the "Blugold Christian Band Swag" friend group, which consisted of people in the BMB and in InterVarsity. I remember telling my mom, "my friend Jacob is so funny!" When we were in St. Louis for a band competition, Jacob hung out with me all day and when I got back to the hotel my friends Lauren and Ali said, "I think Jacob likes you." We started talking more and more, going on dates and spending time together. After about a month of growing in our friendship Jacob finally asked me out! And a year and a half + 1 day later he asked me to marry him. I am so excited to see what our future holds and to know that Jacob will take care of me for the rest of my life. --Jacob's Story-- I first met Taylor freshman year of college. We were both involved in the Blugold Marching Band and Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. During the summer after our freshman year Taylor and I got to know each other at a conference with Intervarsity in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. At that conference was when I first turned on my charm. After a couple months the charm worked, and at the beginning of our sophomore year we got closer and closer with the marching band and Intervarsity. Eventually, we went on our first date to the Gatsby's Gala at UW Eau Claire. On November 26th, 2018 I asked Taylor to be my girlfriend, about the same time that we became comfortable farting around each other. After a year and a half of laughing, growing, and farting together, I asked Taylor to marry me in Hudson, Wisconsin on May 27th 2020. I am so excited to marry Taylor and I look forward to celebrating our marriage with our friends and family.

Jacob planned a day in downtown Hudson, WI with a few of our friends. We had a picnic and were going to take pictures on the boardwalk since we hadn't seen everyone in awhile. We started walking down the pier when Jacob pulled me aside and told me, after the last time we were in Hudson, he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
