We're getting married!

We met online when we were both in middle school. I was in 7th grade, he was in 8th. He tried talking to me, but being as young as we were, I wasn't interested. When I was a freshman, we hung out a few times, but it was nothing serious as we rarely talked. It's safe to say he had a small crush on me, but again, nothing serious at the time. My sophomore year in high school, I began having a small crush on him. I contacted him, we hung out, then started dating. 8 years later as high school sweethearts... we're getting married!

The proposal occurred on our 7 year anniversary since we started dating. Jacob had planned a nice dinner at the 53 by the Sea restaurant. As we entered the restaurant, we had asked the hostess to take a few pictures of us on the famous stairs (for picture taking) since we were a bit early for our reservation. As we were taking photos, I noticed two workers taking photos of us. A bit confused, I had turned towards Jacob, which I then saw him down on one knee. It took me a couple seconds to say anything... a mix of feelings arose as I was extremely shocked and 100000x HAPPY. Of course I said yes to spending the rest of this life with him. Wouldn't want to do life with anyone else! Jacob told me that he had planned this proposal as he informed the restaurant his plan upon making the reservation. He even got the approval by my parents before doing so. It was perfect. We're excited to share this next step with the ones we love most!
