Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

Ubers work well within Lisbon and getting to/from the Welcome Party. You can easily rent a car if you want more flexibility for exploring; we would recommend this only if you are planning to do day trips outside of Lisbon or are extending your stay. For the wedding, transportation will be provided (from hotels with room blocks) and parking is available for those driving. Note: Ubers might be challenging to call from the wedding venue at the end of the night, so we would not consider this a transportation option for that evening.

Yes, we will be reserving a room block at the Tryp Hotel and managing room reservations. For Hotel Mundial and Convent Square Hotel, we will either do a room block or share a discount code (for you to individually reserve a room), depending on the level of interest. Where in Lisbon should I stay if I want to book an Airbnb or separate hotel?

Answer

There are many great neighborhoods to choose from depending on what you are looking for! Principe Real and Bairro Alto have many restaurants/shops and are very walkable and near tourist attractions. Baixa and Chiado are also great, with many cute restaurants and shops but these tend to be more crowded and touristy. Alfama is more historic part of the city and also very beautiful (can also get more crowded with tourists). Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions!
