Maid of Honor
Christie and I have been best friends since 2009 when we met at the Washington School of Ballet. As we've grown up we've remained best friends and have continued to support each other through everything life has thrown at us. On top of her intelligence, beauty, and many talents, Christie is the definition of what it means to be an amazing friend. Loyal, kind, and supportive, Christie is a rare gem of a human who brightens everyone's lives around her, and I am grateful to call her a sister. Fun fact: Christie is an expert photographer and always knows the best way to pose for group photos!
Bridesmaid
Taylor Larkin and I go way back to our college days at the University of South Carolina where we were roommates and quickly became best friends. It was during this time that we met Hunter, and Taylor (known affectionately as TLark) witnessed the very beginning of our love story. TLark has been there for me through thick and thin, and I am extremely lucky to have her as a forever friend. Stunning and kind, she is pure sunshine and brings joy to everyone she is near. Taylor's forever! Fun fact: TLark was famous for losing the keys to our apartment in college and we had to replace the locks several times!
Bridesmaid
Emma and I go way back, having first met at the Loudoun School of Ballet when we were 5 years old (possibly younger? Someone needs to fact-check me!). We reconnected in high school and have been close friends ever since. She's an incredibly beautiful and talented singer-songwriter who has made a name for herself in the Nashville music scene. As a longtime friend of mine, Emma has been a touchstone throughout my life. Always there for me during life's important moments and I'm honored that she'll be standing by my side on this special day. Fun fact: The first dogs Emma ever loved were my dogs - Daisy and Grace!
Bridesmaid
Kristin and I met through her boyfriend, Kevin Lima Godoy, when I started living in Charlotte in 2018, and we bonded immediately over our mutual love of animals and Taylor Swift. Kristin's friendship has been an essential part of making Charlotte such a special place to live. Kristin's calm energy and thoughtfulness make her a joy to be around, and I'm extremely lucky to be able to have such a beautiful, wonderful person by my side for this important day! Fun fact: Kristin is the first person we’ve ever trusted to pet sit our dog Penny!
Bridesmaid
Abi and I met in Charlotte, NC in 2018 through her boyfriend, Brendan Nyreen. Abi and I hit it off instantly thanks to our mutual love of dance! Charlotte quickly felt like home to me, and that was in no small part due to Abi's support and friendship. Radiant and kind-hearted, Abi has been an integral part of my life in Charlotte and I'm so grateful to have her by my side for this special day! Fun fact: Cat Nick can’t tell the difference between Abi and I!
Flower Girl
I met Charlotte through her wonderful parents (Kristine and Carter) when she was just a baby, and have had the incredible privilege of watching her grow into the remarkable 10-year-old she is today! I babysat Charlotte and her little brother Teddy through high school and college, and was constantly impressed by how creative, smart, talented, and kind Charlotte is. When it came time to choose a flower girl for this special occasion, I couldn't imagine anyone more fitting than sweet Charlotte!
Best Man
We met at the University of South Carolina both in our sophomore year, 2013, and have been close since then. After college Kevin moved to Charlotte and anxiously waited for me to finish grad school and join him in the Queen City. Kevin can always get a laugh and fun fact: he spent some time as a volunteer firefighter.
Second Best Man
Brendan was roommates with Kevin when I met them both at USC. We were close in college and have been good friends since we both moved to Charlotte (Brendan a few years before me). Brendan is great at organizing get togethers and trips, and pushing me to workout. Fun fact: Brendan likes Billy Joel.
Groomsman
Matt is my oldest friend. We met when my family moved to Connecticut in 1997 and we have been friends since then. Matt and I have spent countless hours together; sleepovers, skating on the pond on our street, playing video games, and getting up to all the shenanigans young boys do. Fun fact: Matt has the memory of an elephant.
Groomsman
Tom is my second oldest friend, we met the day he moved onto my street in 1999. Tom, Matt, and I were virtually inseparable as kids. By chance, Tom and I ended up at Georgia Tech together for grad school (albeit completely different studies). Fun fact: Tom "my twin" when our elementary school had "Twin Day".
Groomsman
I met Garrett in early high school (around 2008). We've always had a kindred spirit, although Garrett is a more gregarious chap than I. Garrett's laugh can brighten any room. Fun fact: Garrett broke my collarbone in high school. Never paid back my parents either.
Groomsman
I met Brandon in early high school. We bonded over a love of classic rock, and still enjoy discussing what we're listening to today. Brandon is a great glue guy, he created the group chat that's kept all of my friends from high school close over the years. Fun fact: He's always been tall.
Usher
Favorite brother of the Bride. I've looked up to John (also known as JP) my whole life, and I feel so lucky to call him my brother!
Usher
The eldest brother of the Goman family, we met in 1994 on the day I was born and Barret has been so grateful ever since. I am proud to say that Barret is an officer in the Navy and has (most of the time) set a great example for me. Fun fact: Barret has never beaten me kayak racing in Tobermory.
Usher
The middle brother of the Goman family. Carter has also been a good role model for me to look up to--he paved the way for me to go to South Carolina (go Gamecocks!) where Taylor and I met which I will be forever grateful for. Fun fact: Carter has never beaten me in hallway knee hockey.
