Taylor and Griffin's journey began long before they actually met. Unbeknownst to them, their lives had intersected in various ways; their families both briefly lived in the same apartment complex, Griffin played Issaquah baseball (the same district where Taylor went to school), and both even attended Eastside Catholic High School, unknowingly crossing paths in the hallways. It wasn't until the fall of 2019 that their stories finally converged. On a beautiful October evening, Taylor and her friends were enjoying their favorite country bar, Shingletown. The air was filled with stale beer and the floor covered in hay. Griffin and two of his friends randomly happened upon Shingletown that night. Taylor and Griffin started talking at the bar and quickly discovered their intertwined lives and many shared interests. A few months later after an epic PitchBook holiday party, Griffin asked Taylor to be his girlfriend. When the world shut down in March 2020, Taylor and Griffin found themselves spending a lot of time together at his studio apartment which provided an early test of living life together. In 2022, they moved in together and embraced the Seattle city life. In February 2024, they welcomed a new member to their family, a beloved lab named Harvey. Fast forward two weeks when Griffin tricked Taylor into thinking they were going on a boat ride with friends (yes, in the middle of February); instead, he proposed on the shore of Lake Union. Taylor and Griffin spent the past 5 years going to concerts, dancing to Dua Lipa in their living room, traveling the world, strolling through Seattle (usually getting lost because of Taylor's sense of direction or Griffin's disinterest in using a map), and cheering on Seattle's sports teams. They are excited to continue building a life filled with family, friends, love, laughter and plenty of adventure.
